A Real Order: When the Sample Machine Was Not the Bulk Machine
A customer from Spain ordered heavyweight oversized t-shirts. We made the samples on a standard sewing machine, and they came out well, so we assumed the same machine would be enough for bulk. It was not. In bulk production, the standard machine could not give the right output on the heavy fabric, and the garments did not meet the standard of the approved sample. We moved the bulk to special 5-thread stitching, which is built for heavier fabric and gives a stronger, more stable seam, and the output then matched.
